What is ANIMUSIC?
ANIMUSIC is computer-animated music… a new genre of entertainment.
ANIMUSIC is also the name of our production company and independent label, focused exclusively on creating and marketing innovative music-driven computer animation.
What we do…
Using proprietary computer animation software developed over 12 years, we create unique virtual instruments which are set into motion, performing original instrumental music. Each note is performed in perfect precision by its instruments, some of which resemble real-world instruments, and while others appear unlike any earthly object.
Our music animations are primarily distributed on DVD. Each DVD is comprised of a number of standalone “singles”, about 4 to 5 minutes in duration, and significant quantity of unusual bonus material, including multi-angle features.
The original ANIMUSIC DVD has sold over 120,000 units. The highly anticipated ANIMUSIC 2 DVD was released in November 2005 and sold 30,000 units online in less than 2 months. As a label, our plans are to produce and distribute an entire line of DVDs covering a range of musical styles.
Our content is produced in both standard definition and high definition video formats, as well as for larger format and specialty venues (movie theaters, planetariums). We have created custom versions of our animations for clients such as ATI, Disney, Hewlett-Packard and Texas Instruments, and have animated instrumental music by the rock band KANSAS for their concert DVD.
Many fans have asked for an interactive form of ANIMUSIC where they could interact with the music and graphical instruments (for example, a game for the Playstation or PC platform). This is something we are interested in pursuing, and are currently investigating options.
But words and hand-waving aren’t adequate. To really appreciate what ANIMUSIC is, you’ll need to see and hear the animations…so be sure to check out one of the DVDs!
